On January 9 2018 the first legally recognised same-sex wedding took place in Australia and I was absolutely thrilled. A day of celebration for love, for equality, for inclusion, for change and respect.

Over the many years as a celebrant, I have had the honour of supporting many same sex couples to celebrate their love both before the law changed through commitment ceremonies and now, thankfully with the arrival of marriage equality.

A Same Sex Marriage Ceremony is not different to any other marriage ceremony and LGBTQI couples can choose to be as traditional or as alternative as they like.
